Johnny English Strikes Again

HIS LICENCE RENEWED. HIS INTELLIGENCE RESTRICTED.

When British intelligence is hacked and all active agents exposed, the government is forced to spring one of their old talents, Johnny English (Rowan Atkinson), back into action. The third part in this franchise came many years after the second one and makes a sometimes amusing point out of the fact that English is now older, out of touch and stubbornly analog while his fellow agents have moved in a more politically correct direction. As always, Atkinson tries hard to wring laughs out of his rubber-faced character; it’s all good for a smile or two… especially a scene involving three veteran agents.

2018-Britain-France. 88 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by David Kerr. Cast: Rowan Atkinson (Johnny English), Olga Kurylenko (Ophelia), Ben Miller (Bough), Jake Lacy, Emma Thompson, Pippa Bennett-Warner… Charles Dance, Michael Gambon, Edward Fox.
