FAILURE IS NOT AN OPTION.Ā
Lieutenant Jordan OāNeil (Demi Moore) is handpicked to become the first woman to undergo training in the U.S. Navyās toughest branch, but she learns that there are ulterior motives. Moore is terrific as the soldier who suffers all kinds of torture and humiliation, but also gets her chance at glory in a movie that wants to be a feminist role model. Too bad that the story is primarily driven by a cheap political conspiracy and that far too much of the movie consists of never-ending sadistic training sequences in rain and dirt that look like Ridley Scottās brother Tony directed them.
