All These Women

allthesewomenCornelius (Jarl Kulle), a music critic, visits a celebrated composerā€™s estate as part of his research for a biography, but has to contend with all the women living thereā€¦ Ingmar Bergman considered his first movie in color a failure and it remains one of his silliest endeavors. His portrait of the Master who surrounds himself with women and isnā€™t easily approached is Bergman poking fun at himself. The film is colorful, with a gorgeous cast, witty lines, meta comedy and loads of slapstickā€¦ but it gets tiresome and itā€™s as if you can feel the directorā€™s ā€œIā€™m really above all thisā€ attitude.
