WHO SAYS YOU’RE ONLY YOUNG ONCE?
At the age of 37, Michael O’Donnell (Matthew Perry) is sick of how his life has turned out; after meeting a “guiding spirit”, he’s magically transferred back to when he was 17 and faced a critical decision. You’ve seen this movie many times before (five years ago it was called 13 Going on 30), but since it often works quite well it must be a formula with special powers. The filmmakers do what they’re supposed to do without screwing things up (or introducing anything genuinely original for that matter), with charming results. Thomas Lennon is amusing as Perry’s nerdy pal, but it’s a good cast on the whole.
