The year is 1981; former porn star John Holmes (Val Kilmer) is heavily into drugs and manages to get himself involved in the murder of four people. Director James Cox figured he could make a fast-paced, violent and complex look at what Holmes’s life looked like in the early 1980s, but he’s no Scorsese. The Wonderland murders remain unsolved, but we’re presented with different views of what took place that fateful night. Entertaining, but we don’t really learn much about Holmes and who can believe Dylan McDermott as a badass biker?
