JULIE CHRISTIE CARRIES THE DEMON SEED. FEAR FOR HER.
Scientist Alex Harris (Fritz Weaver) has created Proteus, a super computer, and a terminal is located in his home; his wife (Julie Christie) soon falls victim to Proteus’s evil plans. It took seven years for director Donald Cammell to come up with a new film after Performance; the concept he fell for has a talking computer that inseminates Julie Christie. No, really. A classic thriller to some people, but it doesn’t matter that it has a few exciting scenes and intelligent thoughts on what constitutes human and artificial intelligence. Then again, it does have a talking computer that inseminates Julie Christie.
