OVER. DONE. FINISHED. A COMEDY ABOUT LOVE AT LAST GLANCE.
Community activist Lucy Kelson (Sandra Bullock) goes to work for billionaire George Wade (Hugh Grant), hoping she can make him use his powers for good. These two fairly charming stars know the concept of romantic comedies by heart and one was hoping for something resembling Richard Curtis on a New York trip. We’re not quite that lucky; the movie is constantly fighting its own immensely contrived screenplay, but nevertheless succeeds in being a pleasant diversion. Grant looks like he’s sleepwalking a bit (could be that ruffled hairdo), but still has a number of really funny lines.

Quote: “I’m now poor. When I say I’m poor, I mean we may have to share a helicopter with another family.” (Grant)
