In the 1970s, a married American couple (Brad Pitt, Angelina Jolie Pitt) arrive in a small French seaside town for a vacation, but it’s also an attempt to save their marriage. Ten years after playing a married couple in Mr. & Mrs. Smith, the Pitts returned for a vanity project. The real reason for their characters’ problems are revealed near the end, but what precedes it is a therapy session of sorts featuring pills, booze, smokes – and spying on neighbors. Interminably dull when it isn’t unintentionally funny.
