SOMEONE IS LISTENING TO YOUR THOUGHTS.
In 2024, a huge network of subways has erased the last borders within Europe, but strengthened those against the rest of the world; whenever Roger is inside the complex, he can hear a voice in his head. Director Tarik Saleh ventures into fiction, but it is just as politically charged as his documentary Gitmo (2006). The dangers of an Orwellian society in general, and the E.U. in particular, are conveyed in this slow-moving, cold story. The animation is more interesting, an original project that was based on edited photographs of people and locations.
