In 1958, Katey Miller (Romola Garai) moves with her parents to Cuba where her father has landed a job; the revolution is coming, but Katey is seduced by the fiery dancing in the local clubs.Ā The sequel to the 1987 hit has nothing to do with the original story, but follows the same pattern and Patrick Swayze makes an appearance as a dance teacher. The dancing is hot and sweaty and thereās a lot of conflict in the meeting between the Cuban kid and the American girl enjoying the benefits of the Batista regimeā¦ but neither the story nor the two leads catch fire.
