WOULD YOU SACRIFICE ANOTHER FAMILY TO SAVE YOUR OWN?
Three teenage punks take a wealthy family hostage in their Los Angeles home; when the lives of his own family are suddenly jeopardized, local cop Jeff Talley (Bruce Willis) is forced to break a few laws. An action movie short on credibility, but it does complicate the hostage drama in interesting ways. We end up caring for the characters and the rich family’s inventively designed house is an added bonus. Willis is worth a look as the former hostage negotiator, but Ben Foster’s creepy character goes off the rails in such a spectacular way that it threatens to ruin everything.
