In the late 1970s, Jeffrey Dahmer (Ross Lynch) is bullied in high school, but finds a way to keep his classmates amused; at the same time, his obsession with dead animals grows stronger. It may be hard to imagine one of the most notorious serial killers in history as a person who once had family and friends, but this adaptation of a graphic novel created by a former buddy of his takes us back to those defining years in school, right before he committed his first murder. Has its insightful moments; some of the supporting characters are little more than caricatures, but Lynch and Alex Wolff are fine.
