Tigers

Swedish teenager Martin Bengtsson (Erik Enge) is recruited as a professional soccer player for the Italian club Inter Milan; itā€™s a dream come true, but Martin finds it hard to adapt. Based on the true story of a pro who suffered from depression and turned his back on a lucrative career after trying to kill himself, the film shows how top clubs need to take better care of the talents they enlist ā€“ especially those who are still technically children. Itā€™s a tough, competitive milieu, constantly intimidating, and Engeā€™s intense performance makes it easy to sympathize. Ronnie Sandahl makes it all ring true, even Martinā€™s immature romance with a fellow Swede in Milan.
