SO MUCH WOMAN! SO MUCH SPECTACLE! SO MUCH EXCITEMENT!
Antonio Carotenuto (Vittorio De Sica) returns to the Sorrento of his childhood to lead the local police force, but a fishmonger (Sophia Loren) who rents his apartment doesnāt want to move out. The third film about Marshal Carotenuto and his amorous adventures introduces both Loren and Lea Padovani as love interests, even if the latter is initially more anonymous as a woman whose piety irritates the Marshal. Loren is arresting, as always. Never dull, and the Sorrento locations are lovely, but itās all very silly and empty.
