ONE NATION UNDER WATER.
A documentary that takes us to the U.S. Congress, the place Donald Trump labeled a āswampā in 2016 during his presidential campaign. Has anything changed, now that four years have passed? The swamp is still as ineffective and money-obsessed as ever, we learn, but thereās a new generation of congressmen, Republicans and Democrats, fighting together to change how things are done. We meet some of them, with Trumpist firebrand Matt Gaetz inevitably taking most of the attention. Perhaps a little too focused on the impeachment circus surrounding Trump at the time, but the profound problems of the system are addressed, with law professor Lawrence Lessig providing academic backbone to the arguments in favor of campaign finance reform and electoral reform.
