Sherlock Holmes (Basil Rathbone) agrees to escort a royal prince home to his country from London; assassins are on their trail. The twelfth chapter in this series takes place largely on a ship bound for Algiers, which is a welcome change of location. Dangers lurk everywhere, especially when three agents board the vessel after a while and a cat-and-mouse game begins between them and Holmes. Fortunately for our detective, they’re not very good at what they do. Not much credibility, but still a lot of fun; I enjoyed the part where Holmes gets rid of a bomb without Watson noticing a thing.
