CHIP HAPPENS.
An undercover FBI agent (Michael Peña) teams up with a less than impressive California Highway Patrol trainee (Dax Shepard) to investigate a series of robberies that may be connected to the police force. Another TV series becomes a movie, this time CHiPS (1977–1983), which follows a similarly goofy formula as 21 Jump Street (2012). Except this one doesn’t have laughs. Plenty of chases, as in the original, but too lazy and silly. The two leads struggle to create a buddy duo that would win our hearts.
