MORE MINIONS. MORE DESPICABLE.
When a mutagen is stolen from a lab in the Arctic Circle, the now reformed Gru is recruited by the Anti-Villain League to find the guilty ā and heās partnered with a female agent. The kind of sequel that audiences wanted to see, but where the filmmakers really seem to have struggled trying to come up with a way to continue the story. Well-paced, with lots of amusing scenes featuring Gruās popular minions. Looks attractive in 3D⦠but all the frantic spy-movie action, trying to conceal the emptiness of the story, gets a little wearisome in the second half.
