WITH GREAT POWER COMES GREAT IRRESPONSIBILITY.
Wade Wilson (Ryan Reynolds), who’s been diagnosed with terminal cancer, is approached by a covert organization who wants to use him for an experiment that will cure his cancer – but has unimaginable side effects. After playing Deadpool in X-Men Origins: Wolverine (2009), Reynolds returned to the character in a Marvel extravaganza that emphasizes R-rated violence and jokes. Satisfying to bros everywhere, the film is fun and finally provides Reynolds with a good vehicle. However, after a while you kind of want this teenager of a movie to grow up just a little bit; cutting down on all the meta jokes would help.
