BACK TO THE GRIND.
When those strippers who are still part of Kings of Tampa head for Myrtle Beach for a big convention, Mike Lane (Channing Tatum) decides to come out of retirement. For this sequel, Steven Soderbergh was still very much part of the project but promoted his assistant director to helm it. Those looking for an interesting, substantial way to continue the story will feel cheated; it’s amazing how they still managed to fill 115 minutes. But it’s possible if you have an adequate number of cheesy strip-and-dance scenes portioned out here and there. You sort of get what you expect.
