Dallas

dallasThis reboot of the original Dallas (1978-1991) focused on the next generation, as the sons of J.R. and Bobby were emotionally and morally the spitting images of their fathers ā€“ they continued the same old battles. Of course, J.R., Bobby and Sue Ellen (along with other blasts from the past) were still around and it was telling that they always seemed more interesting than the new characters. Just as soapy as the original, only faster paced. However, the only genuinely interesting thing about the show was how they handled the death of iconic Larry Hagman. J.R.’s funeral generated real emotions among cast and viewers and he was sorely missed after that ā€“ which was canceled abruptly with another character dying in a shocking, undignified way.

2012-2014:U.S. Made for TV. 40 episodes. Color. Developed byĀ Cynthia Cidre. Cast: Josh Henderson (John Ross Ewing), Jesse Metcalfe (Christopher Ewing), Jordana Brewster (Elena Ramos), Patrick Duffy, Linda Gray, Larry Hagman (12-13), Julie Gonzalo, Brenda Strong, Mitch Pileggi, Emma Bell (13-14), Juan Pablo Di Pace (13-14).
