YOU HAVEN’T SEEN TRUE EVIL.
New York City cop Ralph Sarchie (Eric Bana) is drawn into several cases in the Bronx that seem linked; he doesn’t believe in God, but evil forces are at work… The Exorcism of Emily Rose (2005) director returns to the same subject, with another demon running loose in a very dark, gritty and rainy New York. Bana and Édgar Ramírez do what they can with their characters, a lapsed Catholic cop and a hunky priest with a former addiction problem. “Inspired by actual events”, this urban horror film lacks credibility and pacing, though.
