LOVING HUSBAND. DEVOTED FATHER. RUTHLESS KILLER.Ā
In the 1960s, Richard Kuklinski (Michael Shannon) starts working for a Gambino family-connected mobster (Ray Liotta) as a hit man, earning a reputation as “The Iceman”ā¦ but his wife (Winona Ryder) remains unaware. This directing debut tells the story of Richard Kuklinski who was convicted of a few murders but claims to have killed hundreds of people for the Mafia. Whether we believe in him is up for debate, but his story makes for a compelling thriller and gangster movie. Ryder’s character remains fairly anonymous, but Shannon is brilliant and Chris Evans is fun to watch as another killer disguising as an ice-cream man.
