VENGEANCE ALWAYS HAS A PRICE.Ā
When his wife (January Jones) is raped, New Orleans English teacher Will Gerard (Nicolas Cage) is approached by a man (Guy Pearce) who says that he can make sure the rapist faces justiceā¦ if only Will agrees to do him a favor in return. A thriller that tries to utilize its post-hurricane New Orleans setting, but doesn’t really do much with it except arrange the final showdown in a damaged mall. Passable, but anyone who’s ever seen a thriller knows exactly what will happen, and the story’s moral issues, after reading my plot summary.
