A REPO MAN IS ALWAYS INTENSE⦠BUT ONLY A FOOL GETS KILLED FOR A CAR.
Otto Maddox (Emilio Estevez) loses his job at a Los Angeles supermarket, but runs into an old repo man (Harry Dean Stanton) who convinces him that repossessing cars has to be the coolest job ever. Director Alex Cox’s breakthrough film is a cult classic that blends comedy with action and bizarre sci-fi elements, complete with a score of punk rock songs. The L.A. locations become a vital part of the film, which is anchored by the performances of Estevez and Stanton as well as intermittently amusing/weird moments. Far too much of it though feels just random.
