FBI agent Jennifer Marsh (Diane Lane) is hunting a serial killer who posts live videos of his victims on a web site; the more visitors he gets the faster his prisoners die. Lane makes the most out of her Ashley Judd-type role as the agent who is increasingly tortured by the killer’s horrible (and eventually personal) practices. Director Gregory Hoblit also knows how to get a thriller like this working, but even these pros are unable to overcome the obstacles; it’s hard to believe in the concept and it all turns into a rather ordinary thriller.
