Clash of the Titans

BETWEEN GODS AND MEN, THE CLASH BEGINS.

A fishermanā€™s son (Sam Worthington), who turns out to be a demigod, is drawn into a war between the humans and the gods and must choose sides.Ā Director Louis Leterrier is a fan of the 1981 original and you can tell that heā€™s having fun. You can too if youā€™re willing to go along with a movie that has impressive visual effects (except for the lackluster 3D effects that were added in post), entertaining showdowns with all kinds of ugly critters (including the enormous Kraken), a particularly campy performance by Ralph Fiennes and clunky dialogue. Somehow, Leterrier makes it work.

2010-U.S. 106 min. Color. Widescreen.Ā Directed byĀ Louis Leterrier.Ā Cast:Ā Sam Worthington (Perseus), Liam Neeson (Zeus), Ralph Fiennes (Hades), Jason Flemyng, Gemma Arterton, Alexa Davalosā€¦ Mads Mikkelsen, Pete Postlethwaite, Elizabeth McGovern, Danny Huston.

Trivia:Ā Followed byĀ Wrath of the TitansĀ (2012).
