WE’RE NOT IN MANHATTAN ANYMORE.
Affluent New Yorkers Paul and Meryl Morgan (Hugh Grant, Sarah Jessica Parker) are considering divorce, but after witnessing a murder they have to hide together in rural Wyoming as part of a witness relocation program. The third movie Marc Lawrence made with Grant has a lazy fish-out-of-water story that no one involved seems to have been too enthusiastic about. That goes for the stars as well, who looked right for the job on paper but fail to deliver much energy in their performances. Sam Elliott and Mary Steenburgen are better… but the movie is not very funny or exciting.
2009-U.S. 103 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Marc Lawrence. Cast: Hugh Grant (Paul Morgan), Sarah Jessica Parker (Meryl Morgan), Mary Steenburgen (Emma Wheeler), Sam Elliott, Michael Kelly, Elisabeth Moss.
