FEAR MOVES IN.
Anna Ivers (Emily Browning) is released from a mental hospital and returns home to her sister (Arielle Kebbel), father (David Strathairn) and his new girlfriend (Elizabeth Banks), but the ghost of her dead mother is still haunting her. The Guard Brothers’ feature film debut is a surprisingly watchable remake of a Korean horror movie, A Tale of Two Sisters (2003), where the supernatural effects blend easily with the monsters of the real world. The movie earns its thrills in an honest way, with shocks that makes one’s skin crawl. Banks is worth a look as the nurse who insidiously became a member of the family.
