FEAR CHANGES EVERYTHING.Ā
When a small town in Maine is enshrouded in a mysterious mist, a group of people are trapped in a grocery store soon to be attacked by deadly creatures. Frank Darabont has a history of making good Stephen King adaptations; this one is problematic, but has interesting ingredients. Heās chosen a great, diverse cast with Marcia Gay Harden the standout as a fanatic who sees the mist as an excuse to start a cult in the store. The tagline reveals what the director wants to say; the ending is shocking and original but other parts are too ordinary and reminiscent of better horror stories.
