ONE WORD CAN CHANGE EVERYTHING.
Carl Allen (Jim Carrey) has a habit of saying no to everything, avoiding most social events; when dragged to a cult-like meeting where the word “yes” is celebrated he agrees to go along with every proposition that comes his way. Carrey fans will know that this sounds like another Liar Liar (1997), and there are similarities, but fans of the star should absolutely say yes to this simple comedy. The premise offers Carrey many opportunities to goof around and he does so enthusiastically; there’s enough funny stuff here to make you ignore the lazy writing. Zooey Deschanel’s usual charm is another positive ingredient.
