SOME WINDOWS SHOULD NEVER BE OPENED.
Writer Mort Rainey (Johnny Depp) mopes around his cabin, trying to get his next book organized, but then a Southern stranger (John Turturro) shows up on his doorstep and accuses him of plagiarism. Stephen Kingās story starts out with a similar theme to his āMiseryā, but turns into something else. The twist in the final sequences will come as a surprise to very few people, but director David Koepp paces the film well and makes you forget about how thin the plot really is. Depp is shamelessly amusing as the eccentric writer whose sleeping habits may not be too healthy for him.
