TON ON THE RUN.

In a desperate attempt to find wilderness, a zebra escapes from the New York Central Zoo; he’s reluctantly joined by his best friends. In 2005, getting used to good computer-animated movies was easy… but this was the exception. Madagascar suffers from lazy writing, with very few good jokes and unimaginative references to other movies. The animation isn’t so hot either. Still, kids might go for it (they might also confuse it with Ice Age). My personal favorites are the British monkeys, the cunning penguins and Sacha Baron Cohen as the cheerfully silly king Julian.
