Door to Door

MEET BILL PORTER, A MAN OF REMARKABLE SPIRIT. HE’LL TOUCH YOUR HEART. HE’LL CHANGE YOUR LIFE.Ā

A young man (William H. Macy) with cerebral palsy manages to get a job as a door-to-door salesman and becomes a reliable fixture over the decades. A feel-good TV movie with just one remarkable ingredient (which didn’t stop the Emmy academy from showering it with awards) ā€“ Macy’s fabulous, touching performance. Based on a real person’s life, it is an inspirational story about overcoming adversity. Like so many other TV movies, a bit too cute and bland, but still worth a look; Bill Porter may strike you as nothing special, but his achievements are still impressive.Ā
