HAVE A NICE END OF THE WORLD.
College teachers Ira Kane and Harry Block (David Duchovny, Orlando Jones) are among the first to take samples from a very unusual meteorite; the aliens inside are very quick to evolve. Director Ivan Reitman gave us two Ghostbusters movies and judging from this film he would have liked to direct a third chapter in the series. The problem is that the visual effects are so-so (although the “blue monkeys” is a nifty idea), the story is for the birds and Julianne Moore is not quite right for her part. The Duchovny-Jones-Seann William Scott team is amusing, however, and I love the laidback attitude that goes with it.
