MURDER. BLACKMAIL. TEMPTATION. REDEMPTION. IT’S BEEN A BUSY WEEK.Ā
Small-time hood Larry Gigli (Ben Affleck) is ordered to kidnap the retarded brother of a prosecutor; sexy Ricki (Jennifer Lopez) arrives to keep an eye on Larry. The stars took a lot of flak, but they are not the ones that make this notorious bomb of 2003 bad. Itās more a case of the actors being let down by a script that is alternately ridiculous, offensive, illogical and just plain stupid. It doesnāt help that Christopher Walken and Al Pacino demean themselves with showy, pointless cameos that are worse than the Affleck/Lopez combo.
