HE’S A HEARTBEAT AWAY FROM CATCHING THE KILLER.
Retired FBI agent Terry McCaleb (Clint Eastwood) feels compelled to try to find the man who murdered the woman whose heart is now pumping inside of the agent after a transplant. Another movie where Eastwood has given himself a part that acknowledges and challenges his age. It is a routine thriller reminiscent of another Eastwood flick where there was a special bond between the cop and the killer, Tightrope (1984). The film has its slow stretches; overall, it’s more enjoyable than credible. The actors make a difference; both Eastwood and Jeff Daniels are perfect for their parts.
