The Bourne Supremacy

THEY SHOULD HAVE LEFT HIM ALONE.

Jason Bourne and Marie (Matt Damon, Franka Potente) are hiding in India, but their cover is blown and once again Bourne finds himself on the lam from the CIA. The sequel to The Bourne Identity (2002) is darker and once Potente’s character exits the story Bourne has no one really to banter with. Still, director Paul Greengrass keeps the story going, moving all over the world, and the actors are well worth seeing, including Joan Allen as the agent who gets the wrong idea about Bourne. The action is also terrific, particularly a car chase in Moscow.

2004-U.S. 108 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Paul Greengrass. Screenplay: Tony Gilroy. Novel: Robert Ludlum. Music: John Powell. Cast: Matt Damon (Jason Bourne), Franka Potente (Marie Helena Kreutz), Brian Cox (Ward Abbott), Joan Allen, Julia Stiles, Karl Urban. Cameo: Chris Cooper.

Trivia: Followed by The Bourne Ultimatum (2007).
