EVERY LEGEND HAS ITS DARK SIDE.
When he was a kid, Kyle Walsh’s (Chaney Kley) mother was killed by a ghost called the “Tooth Fairy”; as an adult he knows that there is still something to be afraid of in the dark. I guess any legend can with a little imagination be turned into a monstrosity. The ghost in her porcelain mask looks scary and the film is competently made… but there is no clear reason for the Tooth Fairy to kill everyone she sees, the film turns increasingly ridiculous and few will care if the cast lives or dies.
2003-U.S. 86 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Jonathan Liebesman. Cast: Chaney Kley (Kyle Walsh), Emma Caulfield (Caitlin Greene), Lee Cormie (Michael Greene), Grant Piro, Sullivan Stapleton, Steve Mouzakis.
Trivia: When the studio became unhappy with the original creation of the “Tooth Fairy”, Stan Winston was hired to design a new one. The film was based on a 2001 short subject by co-writer Joe Harris.
