THE YEARS THAT LED UP TO IT. EVERYTHING THAT MIGHT HAVE PREVENTED IT.
FBI agent John OāNeill (Harvey Keitel) and White House counter-terrorism advisor Richard Clarke (Stephen Root) spend the 1990s hunting the terrorists who would eventually attack the U.S. on September 11th, 2001.Ā Former Clinton White House officials (including Clarke) criticized this miniseries heavily before it aired; the Bush administration isnāt shown in a flattering spotlight either. Simplistic in its views of what some people did or didnāt do, and not always reliable in its depiction of the terrorist hunt. Still, well-paced and engaging, and Keitel is very good as OāNeill who suffered an ironic fate.
