Wealthy Sarah McNerney (Brittany Murphy) marries a guy (Ashton Kutcher) of no particular means and the couple go to Europe on their honeymoon – will the marriage survive the journey? This is the kind of comedy Goldie Hawn and Kurt Russell used to do in the 1980s. It’s got attractive scenery, predictable European stereotypes and a couple that keeps ending up in crazy situations. The movie is short on big laughs and Kutcher and Murphy are shrill, but lo and behold – there are moments when you kind of begin to care about them.Â
