Wealthy architect Steven Walker (William Petersen) tries to put an end to his 16-year old daughterā€™s (Reese Witherspoon) love affair with a psychopath (Mark Wahlberg). No rabbits end up in a pot, but this thriller does look like another Fatal Attraction (1987). Itā€™s a fairly entertaining flick that is stocked with awfully predictable characters, unfortunately, just like so many other Hollywood psycho movies of the decade. Wahlberg provides some fun as the intimidating David, but everything takes a turn for the worse in the violent finale.

1996-U.S. 95 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed byĀ James Foley. Cast: Mark Wahlberg (David McCall), Reese Witherspoon (Nicole Walker), William Petersen (Steven Walker), Amy Brenneman, Alyssa Milano.
