Womanizer Henry Roth (Adam Sandler) woos Lucy Whitmore (Drew Barrymore), but learns that she suffers from damage to her short-term memory; he falls for her, but she can never remember him. A movie that looks like it was made by the Farrelly brothers; it has the same mix of gross-out gags and warm feelings. It’s nice to see Sandler as somewhat of a normal and likeable character; he and Barrymore are fine in the leads. The romance works fairly well, but the jokes are cheap and the supporting cast add nothing (I’m looking at you, Rob Schneider).
