A NEW PRESCRIPTION FOR TERROR.
The insane son (Larry Drake) of a serial killer escapes from an asylum and goes to the town where his father was caught to exact revenge. The doctor is ready to see patients, especially a girl whose heart he desires, in this cheap horror movie that makes the mistake of looking to the bloody genre pics of the 1980s for inspiration. The hysterically giggling doctor is well played by Drake, but the movie doesn’t have a compelling story and becomes pretty ridiculous.
1992-U.S. 95 min. Color. Widescreen. Directed by Manny Cotto. Cast: Larry Drake (Evan Rendell), Holly Marie Combs (Jennifer Campbell), Cliff De Young (Tom Campbell), Glenn Quinn, Keith Diamond, Richard Bradford.
