THE NAVAJO HAS THE CODE. PROTECT THE CODE AT ALL COSTS.
During World War II, Marine Joe Enders (Nicolas Cage) is given the mission of protecting two Navajo codetalkers in Japan; theyāre needed to translate battle orders. Apparently, director John Woo felt like doing something deeper in Hollywood apart from simple action movies, but his strong side really is not to portray the emotional impact of war on soldiers. The story about the depressed, hearing-impaired veteran (Cageās performance will bore you to tears) pales in comparison with the horrible battle of Saipan, quite forcefully directed by Woo.
