A HOT ACTRESS. A CELEBRITY MURDER. TWO LAWYERS ARE ABOUT TO GO PRIME-TIME!

When a woman (Gina Gershon) charged with murder is ruthlessly working the whole media circus to her advantage, is there a reason to be upset ? After all, there are no victims; her attorneys are busy with agendas of their own and the sensationalist reporters probably deserve it anyway… This TV movie has the same kind of witty humor that made director Glenn Jordan’s previous Barbarians at the Gate (1993) so memorable, but the film as a whole is inferior. James Garner is a good choice to play the hotshot attorney who makes you think of Johnnie Cochran; Mary-Louise Parker and Kathleen Turner are also fun to watch.

1998-U.S. Made for TV. 90 min. Color. Directed by Glenn Jordan. Teleplay: Billy Ray. Cast: James Garner (Norman Keane), Gina Gershon (Angela Beale), Mary-Louise Parker (Rica Martin), Edward Kerr, Kathleen Turner, Brian Doyle-Murray.
