THERE IS NO DEFENSE.Ā
Annie Laird (Demi Moore), a juror in a trial of a New York mob boss, gets to know an attractive man (Alec Baldwin), little realizing that his mission is to make her corrupt the trial. A thriller that earned comparisons with Trial by Jury (1994) and it is undeniably just as mediocre. There isnāt much here that comes across as realistic, including Baldwinās lunatic behavior (even if his subsequent war with the mob family has its entertaining moments). Moore tries to give her mom in peril strength, but sheās stuck in a dumb story.
