YOU’RE NOT WELCOME HERE.

After a traumatic experience, two children (Jaeden Martell, Lia McHugh) spend a few days in an isolated cabin shortly before Christmas together with their dad’s new girlfriend (Riley Keough)… In this horror movie, Keough’s character is a survivor from a cult that was clearly inspired by the Heaven’s Gate group. The film’s success depends on whether you accept its plot twist. I found it unconvincing and the movie’s depiction of mental illness more irritating than scary. Good cast, creepy atmosphere, but sluggish at times.
