YOU DON’T NEED A PAST TO HAVE A FUTURE.
After being shot to death, Marine Ray Garrison (Vin Diesel) is resurrected by a scientist (Guy Pearce) who tells him that he’s now enhanced with nanotechnology. This adaptation of the comic book puts Diesel’s worst traits on display – macho but uncharismatic all the way through, his character is never compelling in spite of the life-altering challenges he’s facing. Thoroughly run-of-the-mill, the story echoes better movies like The Terminator and even Universal Soldier.
