Assassin’s Creed

Cal Lynch (Michael Fassbender) is saved from his execution only to be used by a company that wants access to his genetic memories, taking him back to his ancestorā€™s experiences in 1492ā€¦ Another woeful screen adaptation of a video game. Its cinematic potential is wasted; neither the journeys back in time nor the filmā€™s MacGuffin trigger oneā€™s imagination. The story is just as dull as Fassbenderā€™s performance; the filmā€™s look is more generic than visually arresting.Ā
